Nursing Assistant - House Float
Full Time 36 weekly hours, Nights

Job Summary:
The Nurse Assistant assists the nursing staff by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties in caring for patients. All functions must be within the scope of training and instruction received and are under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.
1. Provides basic physical care
2. Assists the patient with meeting nutritional needs
3. Assists patients with activity as designated
4. Maintains a safe environment for the patient according to policy and procedure
5. Performs and documents appropriate procedures according to hospital policy and procedure.
6. Participates in responsibilities of the unit.
House Float Nursing Assistant Minimum Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
A. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
B. BLS required.
C. Applicants will need to have previous Nursing Assistant experience, CNA certification, or have completed 1 Nursing Clinical rotation for House Float NA position.
D. Nursing School applicants must be able to work a minimum of 1 year as a Nursing Assistant in House Float department prior to graduation as a an RN.
