Job Description

PURPOSE

This role requires a seasoned Finance Systems Administrator to manage financial systems, ensure compliance, and support the global finance community more broadly. The ideal candidate will ensure our tools and integrations between them are configured, managed, and running efficiently.

DUTIES

Systems Management

  • Implement, maintain, and optimize financial systems and processes, including ERP and all other financial applications.
  • Analyze system use and performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Design and manage system security and access controls.
  • Develop and document system procedures and documentation.
  • Periodically conducts system maintenance and cleanup as required.

Technical Collaboration

  • Provide technical support to accounting, finance and other staff on system-related issues.
  • Collaborate with IT departments on system integration projects.
  • Stay up to date on the latest financial systems and technologies in order to drive continual improvement.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate issues (less than 10%).

Financial Alignment

  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to understand business needs and translate them into system requirements.
  • Configure systems to ensure accurate and efficient financial data flow.
  • Design, continuously improve and enforce a data model which supports the strategic objectives of the business.
  • Generate reports and provide data-driven insights to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related experience; CPA, MBA, and/or Project Management certification preferred, not required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems Administrator role.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
  • Experienced, with demonstrated career progression, managing multiple types of systems with varying degrees of complexity. Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working within a Shared Services Organization is a plus.
  • Knowledge of process improvement, business operations, project management, change management, and workflow implementations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Must be hands-on and detail-oriented, but also able to see the big picture.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and Concur experience is non-negotiable.
  • Adept to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to condense information and be concise.
  • Strong relationship building skills, must build trust.
  • Experience participating and coordinating the compilation/documentation of business requirements.
