Manager - AMI

This role is responsible for assisting with and ensuring proper daily operation of the Metering Solutions technology systems and data; to include, but not limited to, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Automated Meter Reading (AMR) systems. This includes network monitoring, scheduling, system maintenance, analysis, and maintaining accuracy of various AMR and AMI reports, as well as testing and implementation of enhancements to metering systems and any interfacing systems or applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in managing and maintaining relationships with vendors and support services for software and equipment maintenance and service requests including outages, repairs, replacements, and programmatic fixes.
Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and analyzing of meter reading hardware, software, data, equipment, and processes serving as the point of contact for system users in a help desk support capacity.
Perform first level network troubleshooting support to meet business requirements and work closely with departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Analyze non-communicating endpoints to determine if field investigations are necessary.
Support planned and unplanned optimization efforts and, through extensive analytics, provide data that will result in recommendations for enhancements and modifications to the AMI infrastructure.
Maintain the accuracy and quality of AMI network data, asset information and system performance reporting.
Develop, maintain, and report systems performance metrics to users and management.
Monitor the AMI system, including performing daily maintenance and ensuring all billing critical routes are valid ahead of daily file processing.
Provide solutions and/or configuration changes to meet ongoing end user requirements. Supports system changes required by business requirements, technical criteria, data management, security management and other aspects as identified.
Creates and maintains documentation, change management principles, data integration, data trend analysis, management and integration of different data sources, data mining, training, and compliance material.
Develop training materials and perform "train the trainer" for metering solutions technologies.
Maintain a working inventory of AMI and AMR equipment and support the system users of the equipment.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Generally, works a 40-hour week in various environments (office, outside field settings, etc.) treatment plants and field settings may involve hazardous materials and equipment, travels between various company locations and work sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree preferably in Information Systems, Database Administration, Geographic Information Systems, or related field; and
Three (3) years' experience in, metering technology solutions, information systems or related fields; and
Valid driver's license.
